Sea Isle's Acme was demolished this week to make way for a new larger Acme that is scheduled to open next spring. As you can see in the pictures below, the rubble is being hauled away and the site should be cleared by the end of the week. As you can see Sands is still open but the Acme, Uncle Oggie's and Rick's Breakfast are gone. Half of the Acme parking lot is fenced off as the demolition and hauling away of debris continues. The CVS remains open. Even with half the parking lot fenced off and trucks hauling out the wreckage, the parking lot is probably still safer than it will be next summer with a new bigger Acme and Oggie's and Rick's moved behind the CVS.

Although the hurricane is predicted to turn out into the Atlantic, Sea Isle still had significant tidal flooding today due to the coastal storm and high tide. As you can see from the pictures below, there is quite a bit of water in the street. It's a good thing the hurricane is heading out to sea.
