Amusements Parks Near Sea Isle
Sea Isle used to have Fun City and more recently Fun Land for the little kids. However starting in the summer of 2014 if you want to take the kids to the rides, Ocean City or Wildwood are your only options. Ocean city's Board walk is about a 30 minute ride from Sea Isle. The two amusement parks on the Ocean City boardwalk are Gillians Wonderland Pier (609) 399-7082 and Castaway Cove (609) 399-4751. Both have a mix of rides for small children through teens, but non of the rides at either park will satisfy a real thrill seeker.
There are larger amusement parks in Wildwood. It is about a 40 minute drive from Sea Isle and the Wildwood boardwalk has seen much better days. However, if you are looking for a greater variety of rides and more riders for older teens, it is the only option. There are three amusement parks in Wildwood: Morey's Pier (609) 729-3700, Mariner's Landing Pier (609) 522-3900 and Adventure Pier (609) 522-3900. There is one water park in Ocean City, Gillian Adventure Island Waterpark (609) 399-0483. As with the rides, Ocean Cities water park is best for the youngest kids. There is an area just for toddlers, but the large slides are also not too intimidating. Older kids could get bored especially on their second or third trip to the park.
Wildwood has three water parks: Raging Waters, (609) 522-3900 Ocean Oasis Water Park & Beach Club (609) 522-3900 and Splash Zone (609) 729-5900. Each park has its own distinct theme, but all three have play areas for toodlers and large slides for teens and adults. Ocean Oasis is the newest and biggest and also has a liquor license for adults that get tired of the water slides and just want to slide onto a bar stool. |
