Although no one enjoys navigating the small isles and the crazy checkout lines, I have to admit that it was part of the summer experience in Sea Isle. It certainly brought back memories of many years ago when supermarkets were much smaller and didn't include bakeries, take out meals, and eat in areas. But memories aside, the Acme really is outdated and undersized for the summer crowds.
The biggest question is what will happen to the already insane parking situation. The parking lot was always a bit of an adventure. But ever since they build the new stores with condos above on 63rd street, the parking lot is down right dangerous. (Oh and by the way isn't it nice to have more empty store fronts in Sea Isle, as if there town didn't have enough of a problem keeping retail space filled.) I am afraid to think of what the parking situation will be like once they do build the new Acme, which may have condo's above it as well. If the current state of development in Sea Isle holds true they will build to the very maximum they can get away with and let the parking and traffic situation get worse.
