Check out these pictures of snow storm flooding in Sea Isle. There is another high tide at 7:00 tonight. There will probably be more flooding but it will be dark so even more dangerous to be out driving.

Sea Isle's real estate market had a great year in 2015. The number of homes sold remained strong 337 and the average home price was up almost $30,000 from last year. In fact 2015 finally marks a complete rebound from the real estate crash of 2008. Just check out the graph below. The total value of Sea Isle Real Estate sold in 2015 was a record $220,000,000. With interest rates up slightly and the stock market off to its worst start in history, it might be difficult to keep the upward price momentum in 2016.
So far the winter has been very mild but if there are any storms or severe cold weather, the construction is likely to fall even farther behind schedule. The picture below shows construction has also begun on the new building behind the CVS that will house Uncle Oggie's and Rick's Breakfast. The foundation has been laid and framing is going up. However, opening by Memorial Day is not a sure thing. Either way, the parking lot will be full of construction equipment until late spring. Construction on Sea Isle's new Acme is well behind schedule. With just five months until the start of summer, it seems very unlikely that the Acme will be open for Memorial Day weekend. According to Acme employees, the original contractor made several mistakes and had to be removed from the project. The foundation work done by the first contractor needed to torn out and the new contractor needed to start from scratch.
As you can see from the pictures below, they have a long way to go. |
