Anything suspicious can be reported to Sea Isle Police Department at (609)263-4311 or 911 in emergencies. SICPD has done an outstanding job in years past of keeping Sea Isle safe and secure during the plunge events. Sea Isle brings in numerous support from other departments as well as the NJ State Police and the Coast Guard to help with safety.
SICPD also announced a ban on drones during the plunge events, citing FAA Regulations:
The 2018 Polar Bear Plunge is a "No Drone Zone" per FAA regulations. In the interest of public safety, we kindly ask that all drone enthusiast obey the temporary restriction. Thank you pic.twitter.com/G5rlJr7UWA

During busy summer weekends it is not unlikely to see a drone fly above a crowded beach or outdoor bar. The temporary ban is the first of it's kind for Sea Isle. And makes us wonder if we could see this come into play in the future in the busy Summer months. Either way, leave your drones at home this weekend!
Remember to be safe this Polar Bear Plunge weekend and follow all requests of SICPD and other law enforcement agencies!
