Stevens played collegiate hockey at Northeastern University, where he had a very successful senior season finishing:
fifth in the NCAA this season in goals (24), fourth among all active skaters in career goals (57), fifth in power play goals (22), second in game-winning goals (12) and 10th in career scoring (57-60-117).
Northwestern was eliminated from the NCAA Hockey Tournament this past weekend with a loss to Michigan, allowing Stevens to sign with the Blues.
Stevens deal with the Blues will be 2-yeard entry level. Stevens is expected to join the Blues organization this week and be eligible to play immediately. While not expected to play immediately, he will be with the team to practice and get up to speed on the NHL.
Congrats to Nolan and family! Hopefully he can bring the Stanley Cup back to Sea Isle like his father did!
