Easter weekend is the perfect time to see everything that has changed over the winter. Old houses torn down, new houses going up, new restaurants replacing the old restaurants and horrific state of the causeway into Sea Isle which is sure to be a traffic nightmare for the next two summers.
I know Sea Isle's tourism committee says polar plunge is the start of tourist season. But the only people that believe that have never been down to Sea Isle for the weekends between the Plunge and Easter. It may not be quite as dead as January, but it's pretty close. No Easter weekend is the real start of the tourist season in Sea Isle. The weather is finally starting to break, restaurants and stores are open on the weekends and people are actually out and about. It may not be summer but it is certainly a step in the right direction. Let's hope the weather is good, but even if it isn't, you know the beautiful spring weekends are just around the corner.
