Last year it was Pokemon Go. But now there is a new hunt in Sea Isle.
You may find some that look like pizza, some look like animals, some have messages on them, and some have come from long distances. What everyone is out there looking for this summer is painted rocks.
The craze has taken the Philadelphia and New Jersey area by storm recently and Sea Isle is no exception.
It's all part of the "Kindness Rocks Project" which has two goals in mind:
GOAL #1: INSPIRE OTHERS THROUGH RANDOMLY PLACED ROCKS ALONG THE WAY…
GOAL #2: RECRUIT EVERY PERSON WHO STUMBLES UPON IT TO JOIN IN THE PURSUIT OF INSPIRING OTHERS THROUGH RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS
Residents and visitors of Sea Isle have joined in on the hide and seek, painting rocks and hiding them all over the town.
The Facebook Page "Sea Isle City Rocks" where you are encouraged to post your finds, has over 450 members, where there are multiple postings every day of rocks children and adults have found, as well as painted rocks people are hiding throughout the town.
So if you are walking down the promenade, or downtown and spotted a special rock, be sure to check it out. Maybe even pick it up and hide it for someone else to find.
Or if you really want to join in the fun, find some rocks, grab some paint and make your own to add to the hunt in Sea Isle!
