Sea Isle City BeachesSea Isle's beaches are laid back, but there are some things to know. First of all, not all beaches have lifeguards and you can only swim at beaches with lifeguards. Not a big deal, but you may have to walk a block or two (several blocks in the far north of town) to go for a swim. Also, the beaches at various streets are designated for different uses. For instance some beaches are surfing beaches, some are rafting beaches, and few are kayak beaches. The list of beaches and the designation for each and the location of public restrooms is below.

Sea Isle City Beach Public Restrooms
Public restrooms are located at the following Sea Isle beaches: 32nd St, 40th St, 44th St, and 85th St. The restrooms on 44th Street in the Life Guard Station are the best. The small restroom at 32nd street is the worst.
Beach Wheelchairs
Beach wheelchairs are available at no charge from the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol. However you must have a place to store the chair and a way to transport the chair to your location. The chairs are designed to be used in the sand and have large balloon wheels. They can be signed out for up to 5 days. It is best to call the Sea Isle Beach Patrol to make a reservation as there are a limited number of chairs. You will need two forms of ID to sign out a beach wheel chair. Reserved chairs must be picked up by 11:30 AM at Beach Patrol Headquarters on the Promenade at 44th Street.
Drinking on Sea Isle City Beaches
Consumption of alcoholic beverages in all public areas is prohibited in Sea Isle City. That is the official rule. And every summer some loud, obnoxious groups are fined for drinking on the beach. But the key to getting a fine seems to be the level of loud and obnoxious or not having enough sense to pour your beverage into a red solo cup.
Maybe all of the red solo cups you see on Sea Isle's beachs every weekend in July and August are filled with iced tea or lemonade. And maybe you'll find a convenient parking space on 4th of July weekend, but I doubt it. So if you can't wait until your off the beach to have a cold one, at least have the common sense to use a red solo cup. And keep the loud and obnoxious behavior to a minimum. Which is always a good idea whether you are drinking at the beach or not.
