Springfield Inn has been rumored to be considering renovations and changes in the recent years, and went up for sale $6.7 million this past offseason.
Sea Isle News reports the terms are confidential right now, including the price. The listing was for not only the land but the business and liquor license as well.
Sea Isle has approved re-development plans for the site which include a new beachfront bar and restaurant with condos above.
The report also states "If this potential deal goes through, they are seriously considering the redevelopment plan approved by Sea Isle" according to Sea Isle News's source Dustin Laricks.
While this certainly not going to be the last of a beachfront bar in Sea Isle, it will be the last of possibly the Springfield Inn name, and the classic Carousel style bar.
SeaIsleCityGuide had heard in recent weeks that a sale was likely and are currently hearing from sources close to the situation that a potential "Goodbye" party is being planned for sometime in August of this summer for the Springfield Inn.
We will work hard to bring you the updates as soon as they come to us. Stick with Sea Isle City Guide for more this summer.
